Quality Assurance Technician

Under the direction of the supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspecting, monitoring and verifying various items of quality programs (HACCP-GFSI), and prerequisite programs. The incumbent of this position will also interpret critical point results and participate in the problem solving process to determine the best solution. Full-time job, from Monday through Thursday 7:00-17:00.​

Job description

​

  • Develop and implement the training plan (HACCP-GFSI).

  • Monitor production tests and ensure product quality.

  • Track inventory.

  • Perform production sampling.

  • Check the conformity of raw materials.

  • Perform internal audits of operational processes to verify compliance with current quality standards and regulations and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Participate in the problem solving process during production.

  • Salary:

    • Salary is to be discussed according to experience.

    • Weekly pay.


Required Skills

​​

  • Knowledge of HACCP and GFSI standards (SQF, an asset)

  • Knowledge of Office software and suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

  • Have a good capacity for analysis, synthesis and popularization

  • Having worked in the food sector

  • Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards

  • Knowledge of central business (an asset)

  • Have a high level of English (an asset)


Training and experience

  • College diploma in Dietetics or equivalent or higher education

  • Work experience in a food processing plant (minimum 1 year)
