Who We Are & What We Do
We are a Canadian canmaker that specializes in 3-piece food cans. We first established our business in 2008. Initially, we focused on importing cans for the Canadian food industry, leveraging our presence in the market to import cans from China and distribute them in Quebec, Canada.
Twelve years later, we identified a significant opportunity within the Canadian market: the manufacturing of cans. Amid the global pandemic, we were driven by the intention to help Canadians by providing the cans needed for the filling. Hence, Ideal Can was born. We then became the only canmaking company in Quebec and Canada. We actively participated in the maple syrup industry by manufacturing the cans. Since then, our product range has expanded beyond steel food cans to encompass industrial and aerosol cans, reflecting our dedication to diversifying and meeting the evolving needs of our customers.

QUALITY
We value high quality products. Quality is the root of anything that we do.
Our cans are entirely made of high quality steel and are certified BPA, Mercury and Lead-free. Quality tests are conducted all throughout the production process to ensure the product is watertight.

Constant efforts are made to provide maximum quality through innovation, starting with state-of-the-art machinery. Ideal Can has its own in-house laboratory to make product adjustments and avoid potential errors.

We believe that even the smallest steps make a difference when it comes to the planet. We do not stand for wasted products or space which is why we offer production capacity upon request.
The steel cans that we manufacture are 100% recyclable. Plus, we offer low and high volumes. Our production capacity upon request ensures you never run out of inventory and eliminates the unnecessary inventory build ups for seasonal customers.
