Ideal Can, Inc. is a Canadian canmaker that specializes in 3-piece food cans.
At our core, we are a family-owned business driven by a shared commitment: to support and elevate the Canadian food industry through reliable, innovative, and locally made steel packaging solutions.

How It All Started: A Canadian Canmaker’s Journey Through Innovation

More than 15 years of experience in the industry! The business was first established in 2008. Initially, we focused on importing cans for the Canadian food industry, leveraging our presence in the market to import cans from China and distribute them in Quebec, Canada.

A decade later, we uncovered a major opportunity in the Canadian market: the manufacturing of cans. Amid the global pandemic, we were driven by the intention to help Canadians by providing the cans needed for the filling. And so, Ideal Can was founded. We became the first and only canmaking company in Quebec and Canada. We starting by focusing on the maple syrup industry with one clear goal: to provide local companies with a truly Canadian alternative for packaging. Since then, our product range has expanded beyond steel food cans to include industrial and aerosol cans, reflecting our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our customers.

Steel cans produced by Ideal Can offer flexibility in format and body as well as lid printing. Transit packaging formats and production quantities can also be tailored to your needs. Ergo, whatever it is you are looking for, we can accommodate you.

QUALITY

We value high quality products. Quality is the root of anything that we do.

Our cans are entirely made of high quality steel and are certified BPA, Mercury and Lead-free. Quality tests are conducted all throughout the production process to ensure the product is watertight.

Innovation has been anchored in our culture for over 15 years.

Constant efforts are made to provide maximum quality through innovation, starting with state-of-the-art machinery. Ideal Can has its own in-house laboratory to make product adjustments and avoid potential errors.

ENVIRONMENT

We believe that even the smallest steps make a difference when it comes to the planet. We do not stand for wasted products or space which is why we offer production capacity upon request.

The steel cans that we manufacture are 100% recyclable. Plus, we offer low and high volumes. Our production capacity upon request ensures you never run out of inventory and eliminates the unnecessary inventory build ups for seasonal customers.
